Leopards win CHAN

Title holders DR Congo will take on Ivory Coast, Cameroon and Mali in the 2011 African Nations Championship, which takes place in February in Sudan.

The draw for the event, which is for teams of home-based players only, took place in Khartoum on Saturday.

The hosts have been paired with Gabon, Uganda and Algeria in Group A.

Ghana, South Africa, Zimbabwe and Niger were drawn to together and the final group features Senegal, Rwanda, Angola and Tunisia.

The tournament, known as the CHAN, will take place from 4 to 25 February next year.

The first edition of the event, which took place in Ivory Coast in 2009, featured only eight teams, but the CHAN has been expanded this year to encompass 16 sides.
