Claude LeRoy signs a contract to coach DR Congo again

Claude LeRoyClaude LeRoy has signed a three-year contract to coach the DR Congo for a second time. He is aiming to be in the dugout for Saturday's 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Senegal although only to help Santos Mutubile, who will be in overall charge.

Leopards win CHAN Eleven players from African club champions TP Mazembe have been named in the DR Congo's squad for the African Nations Championship tournament. Coach Santos Mutubile Ditunga also named six players from 2010 league winners Vita Club. The CHAN defending champions also named five players from top club DC Motema Pembe.

Leopards win CHAN Democratic Republic of Congo shocked Ghana 2-0 to win the maiden African Nations Championship final. Dioko Kaluyituka put the Leopards ahead one minute into the second half at Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium in the Ivory Coast economic capital and Mbenza Bedi added a second on 76 minutes. It was the first triumph for DR Congo in an African Football Confederation (CAF) national team competition since defeating Zambia 2-0 in a replay of the 1974 Nations Cup final in Cairo.
