Africa Cup of Nations 2013: DR Congo unified under Le Roy

DR Congo national football team, the LeopardsThe Democratic Republic of Congo might finally be able to recapture their former glories thanks to the unifying influence of their French coach Claude Le Roy. Recent success has been in short supply, with their best showing at the Nations Cup in recent years being a third-place finish in 1998.
DR Congo Leopards win first African Nations Championship (CHAN)

Leopards win CHAN Democratic Republic of Congo shocked Ghana 2-0 to win the maiden African Nations Championship final. Dioko Kaluyituka put the Leopards ahead one minute into the second half at Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium in the Ivory Coast economic capital and Mbenza Bedi added a second on 76 minutes. It was the first triumph for DR Congo in an African Football Confederation (CAF) national team competition since defeating Zambia 2-0 in a replay of the 1974 Nations Cup final in Cairo.
