Kabila becomes COMESA's chairperson on 2.26.2014 in KinshasaDR Congo’s President Joseph Kabila took the chairmanship of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) on Wednesday at the opening of the 17th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the organization in Kinshasa. “After 20 years of growth characterized by an exemplary dynamism, COMESA has become a powerful tool for promoting the development of its member states as well as the integration of their economies,” Mr. Kabila said.
